Erica is a senior financial and corporate communications adviser with more than 20 years’ supporting boards and executive teams through complex transactions, regulatory scrutiny and high-stakes reputational issues. She is trusted by clients as a strategic partner who brings commercial judgement, clarity and disciplined execution.

With deep expertise across financial services and capitalintensive sectors, Erica advises organisations across institutional and retail environments on corporate communications, investor relations, M&A and transaction communications, media strategy and issues management, helping leaders make confident decisions and communicate effectively with investors, regulators, employees, media and the broader market.

Erica has advised on some of the market’s most significant transactions, including Domain’s acquisition by CoStar, SaintGobain’s acquisition of CSR, Resolution Life’s merger with MLC Life Insurance, Square’s acquisition of Afterpay, Whitehaven’s acquisition of BHP and Mitsubishi coal assets, and the merger of Heritage Bank and People’s Choice Credit Union. She is currently advising Steel Dynamics on its proposed bid for BlueScope’s US assets.

Her issues and regulatory experience includes advising the ASX, major financial institutions and global corporates through regulatory matters, parliamentary inquiries, Royal Commissions, class actions and restructures.

Prior to joining SEC Newgate, Erica held senior corporate affairs roles at Commonwealth Bank, UBS and Babcock & Brown.
