Ben specialises in translating detailed quantitative and qualitative research into clear strategic recommendations, helping his clients to understand public, stakeholder and customer sentiment, prioritise risks and opportunities, and design and evaluate effective campaigns and communications. For more than 15 years, he has led largescale, high profile research programs across Australia, Asia Pacific and the UK, including politically and reputationally sensitive projects requiring advanced methodological design and senior stakeholder engagement.
At SEC Newgate, Ben leads complex end to end research engagements, advises senior decisionmakers, and contributes to global firmwide thought leadership. He is known for combining methodological rigour with practical, decision focused insight and advice.
Prior to joining SEC Newgate, Ben held a senior role at YouGov specialising in political research, where he delivered one of Australia’s first publicly released Multilevel Regression and Poststratification (MRP) political polls, providing electorate level insight to inform national debate on climate and environmental issues.
Ben is a member of The Research Society, a PRINCE2 Practitioner, and holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) from Aston University, UK.
